What: An Affiliate Member shall be any service organization who represents the interest of active or retired members of a System (Participating) Member. Examples of this type of organization are unions and retiree groups:
- Unions: Trade unions that represent the interests of State or local government employees.
- Retirees: Nonprofit State- or local government-level organizations that represent the interests of public sector retirees.
An Affiliate Membership listing shall include the service organization's name and two (2) contact persons. Affiliate Membership applications must be submitted to the secretary/treasurer for approval by the Executive Board and must be sponsored by at least one (1) Participating Member.
New: Affiliate Membership (non-voting) requires payment of Annual Membership Dues of $200.
Renewal: Affiliate Membership may be renewed on an annual basis by payment of the Annual Membership Dues of $200. In the event payment of the foregoing Affiliate Annual Renewal Membership Dues are not received within forty-five (45) days of the established deadline, said members shall be assessed a penalty of 25% of the applicable membership dues.
